In the sublimation printing workshop printers will draw and mark-make with a rage of colour liquid disperse dyes onto paper, hand painting, screen printing or block printing. The dyed papers are then transferred onto fabric using the heat press. Colours can be layered and flat objects and stencils used as a resist. We will also experiment with ready made sublimation papers by ripping, scrunching, designing hand cut stencils for printing onto fabric. The sublimation dyes work best on synthetic fabrics such as; polyester suede, acetate satin, polyester sateen and polyester crepe de chine. This is a 3 hour workshop or an all day workshop where you could combine Flock or Foil layering two techniques onto material.
